Led by HealthierHere and the Center for MultiCultural Health, and in partnership with 34 grassroots and community-based organizations, the Community Grants Program collectively engaged with and gathered insights from 2,860 individuals from over 40 different communities in King County, WA in 2018 and 2019.
The program was deeply and intentionally committed to a community-centered process for data collection, analysis and ownership. It set out to better understand Medicaid recipients’ experiences accessing healthcare, and the findings help inform HealthierHere’s work to transform the healthcare system and eliminate health disparities in our region.
