(from event page & presenter announcement) HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs invites homeless assistance providers and their partners to participate in weekly Office Hours to discuss COVID-19 planning and response on Fridays from 2:30 – 4:00 PM EDT. Presenters from the following federal agencies and their partners will be available for a live question and answer session:

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
  • National Healthcare for the Homeless Council (HCH)

[August 7 will include] Minimizing COVID-19-related risk to people experiencing homelessness and how Continuums of Care, Emergency Solutions Grants recipients and subrecipients, Health Care for the Homeless programs, Public Health Departments, public hospital systems, and other organizations have made progress in this area by creating or adapting community partnerships and cooperating to design new resources and approaches.
