(from event page) This half-day (4 hours) live session is ideal for busy individuals looking for introductory or refresher training. Whether you’re a clinician in a behavioral health setting, a supervisor trying to boost staff morale or a nurse helping patients manage diabetes, motivational interviewing (MI) training can help you create conversations that empower people to make meaningful changes. Curriculum pace and flow is intentionally designed to maximize engagement and interaction in a virtual environment.

Learning Objectives:
1. Explore the spirit of Motivational interviewing as a key communication style for eliciting behavior change.
2. Use skills of open-ended inquiry, affirmations, reflections, summarizing and change talk to experience Motivational Interviewing.
3. Identify tools to enhance readiness and increase fidelity to the Motivational Interviewing approach.
