(from the event flyer) FREE training for any provider who cares for pregnant and postpartum patients (included but not limited to: nurses, physicians, community health workers, IBCLCs, counselors, public health employees, pharmacists, and other primary care and mental health providers).

Attendees will learn:

  • The “real” transition to parenthood
  • Risk factors / prevention strategies
  • High risk populations and health disparities
  • Impact of birth experiences on mental health
  • Impacts on families and communities
  • Risk and symptoms for partners and fathers
  • Components of a treatment plan
  • Effectively talk about, and screen parents
