(from event page) Raising Voices: A Health Equity Webinar Series. Join professionals, thought leaders, and advocates for a collaborative discussion on health equity issues for vulnerable populations. This series focuses on increasing awareness, reducing health disparities, and raising the voice on how the social determinants of health affect vulnerable populations across the United States.
Session II of this series, Raising Voices – A Health Equity Webinar Series, focuses on racial equity approaches and strategies to address social determinants of health for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities. This event also will mark the launch of the Community Highlights series for APIAHF, which provides examples of three AANHPI-serving community-based organizations, the populations they serve, and the needs they address, each through the lens of one particular social determinant of health. Join us to learn from national leaders about the culturally-informed programs they’ve designed to address barriers to housing, transportation, and primary health services for AANHPIs in their communities.
This session is in partnership between the Asian, Pacific Islander American Health Forum, and PROCEED, Inc., National Center for Training, Support, and Technical Assistance.
