(from event page) Is it legal? Is it ethical? Is it a good idea? An introduction to cross-sector data sharing.
Are you newly interested in data sharing and wondering where to start? Are you working on building shared language and understanding with new data partners? A new resource from Actionable Intelligence for Social Policy (AISP), Introduction to Data Sharing and Integration, provides a developmental approach to building a strong foundation for your effort. It provides a framework and helpful planning activities for ethical and responsible cross-sector data use by partnerships, collaboratives, agencies, and community initiatives.
The Introduction to Data Sharing and Integration (https://www.aisp.upenn.edu/aisp-intro/) covers the benefits, limitations, and risks of data sharing, and outlines best practices for strong planning, governance, legal, and technical approaches. It also includes use case examples for successful cross-sector data integration based upon AISP’s decade of work alongside our Network and Learning Community sites.
