(from event page) You are invited to a Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) virtual Community Planning Session to inform the upcoming funding opportunity: Remote Access from Rural Food Banks Pilot.
This strategy seeks to support King County rural residents in accessing the services they need. King County seeks to improve access to services for individuals in rural areas through rural food banks that will operate as centralized points of access from which residents may increase knowledge about what human services may be available to meet their needs, connect to service providers and/or potentially receive direct support or assistance at this centralized location. The aim of this pilot is to increase access to knowledge about service availability and increase access to services themselves in rural areas.
Please join us at an upcoming community planning session to inform this RFP!
ZOOM Community Planning Session:
Tuesday, March 2, 2020 | 2:30 – 4:30 pm
Meeting ID: 952 1578 7663
At this community planning session we will discuss:
• How can we support food banks connections to other human services investments?
• How can this Request for Proposals (RFP) and program be structured to balance flexibility for providers to address needs, while accounting for the need to track services delivered and outcomes achieved?
• What would the community consider success?
• How can we ensure that we are racially, ethnically, culturally and regionally inclusive?
*Please keep in mind that COVID-19 continues to impact events and business operations. We recommend checking event websites for updates.
