(from event page) Historically, in the U.S. minorities are more likely to experience poverty and economic disadvantage for a variety of reasons, many of them beyond the level of individual’s control. Join us for a panel and open discussion that brings forth the personal, lived experiences of everyday people and professionals in the healthcare industry on navigating the many health systems as BIPOC.

You’ll learn more about…

  • advocacy and accountability when collaborating with health professionals about what you need
  • choosing the right provider and how to build better relationships with your health team
  • how to navigate these systems moving forward as a BIPOC
