With Guest Presenter, Dr. Desi Rodriguez-Lonebear
The format of this webinar will be:
10:00-11:00 Presentation

American Indians and Alaska Natives experience disproportionately high rates of poor health outcomes and the negative effects of social determinants of health. In addition to structural barriers to access and quality of care, there is well-founded distrust.
How can we help address these inequities in our work to serve clients and communities?
Join us for a discussion with Dr. Desi Rodriguez-Lonebear, social demographer and professor of Sociology and American Indian Studies at UCLA. We will:
- Examine what has led up to the inequity that we see today
- Explore new frameworks that can help us build better relationships to improve the health of Indigenous clients
- Discuss and ask questions (11-11:30am reserved for Q&A)
*Please keep in mind that COVID-19 continues to impact events and business operations. We recommend checking event websites for updates.
