(from event announcement) As we continue to confront the long-term effects of isolation, social unrest and economic hardships brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, our nation is also reckoning with promoting safety, well-being and healing exacerbated by trauma. Understanding trauma and its impact is the first step in fostering resilience through crisis and regulating yourself and others is key to adapting to the challenges ahead.
But how do we intentionally design and maintain healing environments that empower and resist retraumatizing those who have already experienced so much trauma?
Join the National Council for Behavioral Health on August 18 from 2-3 p.m. for Trauma-informed, Resilience-oriented (TIRO) Crisis Navigation, a webinar exploring ways to visualize and assess the readiness of your staff to provide effective trauma-informed, resilience-oriented services and care.
Amelia Roeschlein, DSW, MA, LMFT, a National Council consultant for trauma-informed services will share specific guidance to:
- Define the steps needed to create a resilient organization during chaos.
- Identify skills and techniques to promote a culture of compassionate resilience that fosters opportunities to thrive during crisis.
- Understanding the tools necessary to shift to a strengths-based environment.
