(from event page) The complex care core competencies — the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed by every complex care practitioner — were released by the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs in October 2020. The competencies are designed to provide a common standard framework for complex care organizations, programs, and teams across the country. Join us for a webinar to learn how two organizations, Southern Illinois University (SIU) and the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, are using the core competencies to develop their complex care workforce.
Meghan Golden and Nichole Mirocha of SIU will present on how they used the core competencies to inform the development of internal student and workforce training for a trauma recovery center. Dayna Fondell of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers will present on how her team used the complex care core competencies as a framework to develop competencies for substance use disorder navigators.
