COVID Response
Addressing community-identified needs
Beginning in early 2020, we pivoted to rapidly develop and execute new strategies to support our communities through the pandemic.
Take a peek (above) at how we’ve teamed up with trusted community partners to share COVID testing and safety information in communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
Strategies
We listened to our community, tribal and clinical partners to develop strategies that would address community-identified needs, including:
- Safe access to traditional medicine, herbs, and culturally responsive care and supports for American Indian, Alaska Native and Indigenous community members
- Multilingual, culturally responsive COVID-19 recovery support services for individuals with limited English proficiency
- Culturally and linguistically appropriate navigation and enrollment services to help community members access public benefits and social services
- Support for the rapid transition to telehealth and remote delivery of social determinants of health services
- Help to maintain availability of clinical and social determinant of health services, especially for communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic
COVID Hub
We created a space to share guidelines and resources from hundreds of different sources so that organizations, individuals and families can quickly find what they need.
PPE
We’re helping community-based and health organizations access personal protective equipment (PPE) for their staff, volunteers and the community members they serve.
Data
We’ve partnered with Communities Count and Public Health – Seattle & King County to analyze data related to local inequities and COVID impacts.
