HealthierHere recently disbursed $3.6 million to over 50 local Medicaid provider organizations for their participation in 2018 partner engagement and planning activities.

Working closely with a broad spectrum of organizations from all sectors is part of what makes this work so unique, and – we anticipate – so impactful. By actively seeking a wide variety of voices and providing incentives to enable their participation in the planning process, we have assured our innovative strategies are informed, critiqued, and developed with input from those closest to the systems that need improvement and to the community members we’re trying to serve.

Stakeholders included practitioners, subject matter experts, administrators, and other experienced professionals from our local health and social services communities who contributed to planning sessions from March through July, and compiled critical information about their current capacities such as an organizational Current State Assessment, Health Information Exchange/Health Information Technology Assessment, and Change Plan. These activities provided HealthierHere with the information and guidance needed to develop a comprehensive plan for how we will strategically align partnerships, investments, and innovations to improve health and earn additional funding for investments in King County. We’re excited to share more information about our Implementation Plan in the coming weeks – stay tuned!
